The short version
- Play it, enjoy it, stream it.
- Don't copy, resell or redistribute it.
- Purchases and refunds go through Steam or Apple.
- We keep improving the game, so features may change.
1. Agreement
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Crazy Core, an independent studio based in Montréal, Québec, Canada. By installing or playing Pigslaughter: The Audit (the "Game"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't install or play the Game.
If you got the Game through Steam, the Steam Subscriber Agreement also applies. If you get it through the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, together with the Apple-specific terms in section 13.
2. Your license
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to install and play the Game for your own non-commercial entertainment, on devices you own or control and as allowed by the platform you got it from. The Game is licensed to you, not sold. We keep all rights not expressly granted.
3. What you may not do
- Copy, sell, rent, lend, sublicense or distribute the Game or any part of it.
- Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the Game, except where the law expressly allows it.
- Unlock paid content without paying for it, or tamper with achievements or purchases.
- Extract the Game's art, models, music, sounds or code to use in other products.
- Remove or change any copyright, trademark or other notices.
- Use the Game in any way that breaks the law.
4. Streams, videos and screenshots
You're welcome to stream the Game, record gameplay, post screenshots and monetize your videos on platforms like YouTube, Twitch and TikTok. Please don't present your content as official Crazy Core material. A link back to the Game is appreciated. We may withdraw this permission for content that is hateful, illegal or infringes someone else's rights.
5. Updates
We may release updates that add, change or remove features, content or balance. Updates are delivered through the platform you got the Game from. Some updates may be required to keep playing or to keep cloud saves working.
6. Purchases and refunds
On Steam, the Game is a one-time purchase that includes all of its content. On iOS, the Game is free to download; the first two assignments are free, and an optional Premium Pass in-app purchase unlocks the rest. Payment, taxes, restoring purchases and refunds are handled by Valve or Apple under their own policies. In-game currency such as Evidence has no cash value and can't be bought or sold.
7. Content notice
Pigslaughter is satire. It contains stylized comic-book violence and cartoon blood directed at fictional characters. Blood can be switched to ink and paper in Settings. All characters, companies and events are fictional, and any resemblance to real people or organizations is coincidental. The Game does not endorse real-world violence.
8. Intellectual property
The Game and everything in it, including the names Pigslaughter and Crazy Core, logos, characters, art, music, sounds and code, are owned by Crazy Core or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws.
9. Feedback
We love hearing ideas. If you send us suggestions or feedback, you agree that we may use them to improve the Game without any obligation to you.
10. Disclaimer
To the extent permitted by law, the Game is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or compatible with every device. Nothing in these Terms limits the rights you have under consumer protection laws that apply to you, including Québec's Consumer Protection Act.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Crazy Core is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits, arising from your use of the Game. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Game is limited to the amount you paid for it. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
12. Ending these Terms
You can stop using the Game at any time by uninstalling it. Your license ends automatically if you break these Terms. Sections 7 to 11 and 14 continue to apply after that.
13. Additional terms for iOS
If you use the Game on an Apple device: these Terms are between you and Crazy Core only, not Apple, and Crazy Core alone is responsible for the Game and its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the Game. If the Game fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any; Apple has no other warranty obligation. Crazy Core, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the Game, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, consumer protection and intellectual property claims. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. You must also follow any applicable third-party terms when using the Game. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Québec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be brought before the courts of the judicial district of Montréal, unless the consumer protection laws of your place of residence give you the right to bring it elsewhere.
15. Changes
We may update these Terms as the Game evolves. We'll post the new version on this page with a new effective date. If you keep playing after a change takes effect, the updated Terms apply.
